Elder Parks Layton - Portugal Lisbon Mission

Week 19 April 30, 2018 Hey everyone, another one in the books. Aight so I started the week with a haircut, and asked for a bit off the top, ended up with a buzz'cut. So waddup haha. Abril 24 - Just a day of working hard with no results. Abril 25 - Great day! First thing we met a man named Junior from Brazil. We made an appointment for later that night with him. Then we taught another investigater Jose, that was great. He never misses church, he is pretty devoted. Then we went to Junior's house, his whole family wasn't there but we got to know him and his kids better. We gave them a Book of Mormon and he is legit the nicest guy. He told us that he believed everything that we said. Then we went contacting in downtown Braga. This guy with his girlfriend was starring us down, and he walked into a pole hahah. Week 18 April 23, 2018 Hey everyone! Dope week, dope new companion. It's been a freakin sick week. Elder Baugh is unreal. We work so hard and just have the best time as well. He played bball, and vball back home and likes baseball as well. We always have so much to talk about. And he just finished serving with my best homie Elder Taylor from the MTC, so he's got lots of stories about that! hahah! Abril 17th - Said bye to Elder Hernandez and Sister Chagas. I spent two transfers with those two and it was sad to say bye. Hernandez was a great comp and really helped me settle into the mission. Then Oliveira and I had to wait for our new companions together. His comp is Elder Romano from Guatemala. And mine Elder Baugh from San Diego Cali. Oliveira and I made a great welcome meal for them! Week 17 April 16, 2018 Hey everyone! This week I served with Elder Oliveira! He's from Cape Verde which is an African island where they also speak Portuguese! I freakin love him so much! The reason I was with him is because it was Elder Karthiyegan's last week. When it is a missionary's last week here, they usually work 120 hours... So he did it with my companion Elder Hernandez. April 10th - Me and Oliveira worked hard, not much luck, but we did our best and had fun doing it! April 11th - The day started crazy... we knocked a door and an 87 year old African woman opened the door, hugging and kissing us on our cheeks saying we needed to come in! We taught her the first lesson and it went well! We will see what happens there! Then we met with another new investigator Miguel, he is super interested in the church! Week 16 April 9, 2018 Hey everyone, it was a great week! April 3rd - I didn't get to do much missionary work sadly.  I had to go to Porto with Elder Karthigeyan. He had a doctor's appointment and he was taking an English test as well. So we stayed in Porto basically all day for that. I went with him because his actual companion was feeling sick. April 4th - Lots of knocking doors and contacting people! I also had an interview with the President of my Mision. It was through skype or some video chat website like that. That was great, and nope I'm not in any trouble, yet. Joking, I won't get in trouble. April 5th - It was my Dad's birthday, shoutout to my hero, and best friend. We got up early because we were going on splits with our Zone Leaders who live in Matosinhos, on the beach. So we travelled there, and I went and worked with Elder Bernardo!
