Week 18
Week 18
April 23, 2018
Hey everyone! Dope week, dope new companion. It's been a freakin sick week. Elder Baugh is unreal. We work so hard and just have the best time as well. He played bball, and vball back home and likes baseball as well. We always have so much to talk about. And he just finished serving with my best homie Elder Taylor from the MTC, so he's got lots of stories about that! hahah!

Hey everyone! Dope week, dope new companion. It's been a freakin sick week. Elder Baugh is unreal. We work so hard and just have the best time as well. Abril 17th - Said bye to Elder Hernandez and Sister Chagas. I spent two transfers with those two and it was sad to say bye. Hernandez was a great comp and really helped me settle into the mission. Then Oliveira and I had to wait for our new companions together. His comp is Elder Romano from Guatemala. And mine Elder Baugh from San Diego Cali. Oliveira and I made a great welcome meal for them!
Abril 18th - Worked hard! We talked to so many people on the street! The older people love talking to two North American young boys in Portuguese hahah. I can really tell my Portuguese is getting a lot better! I can legit talk to people! But it's like Elder Baugh said, "It's easier to understand them depending on how many teeth they still have left" hahah!
Abril 19th - My legit fourth month mark. Crazy, time has felt so quick! We started with a morning district meeting. Then I took Elder Baugh to meet a bunch of the members! Following that, we helped a member move stuff from a basement to a second floor! It was a legit house! That was awesome, then we had dinner at a members house! Also a girl asked me if I lived "Sozinho" lol!
Abril 20th - Took Elder Baugh to meet the Grando's, they're basically my parents and siblings of Portugal by now. But yeah, that's great. Then we contacted people, and people were super interested! Kinda strange!
Abril 21st - Worked really hard contacting. Had lunch with Joel, and three of our appointments were cancelled on us. That sucked. But we had around an hour long discussion with these two men and they loved our company and want to take us out to eat sometime. That would be sweet.
Abril 22nd - Church, Elder Baugh met Lages, Then we worked with a member "Sol Amor" and we taught a man Felipe. After that we had dinner with the Resendes! One of my fav families here, they are always there when I need them and come in the clutch!
It was a great week, Elder Baugh and I are tight homies and I could never see any type of arguement between us. We always have great talks. We work so hard, and play hard. This is what the mission is all about! I'm lovin it out here!
Funny story, we asked a guy how his day was and he responded, "Really bad". Then Elder Baugh said, "What's your name?". He responded by dramatically taking two deep breathes and walking away. I'm sorry that he had a bad day but that experience made my week hahahahaha. Elder Baugh and I laugh at that experience all the time. I think I laugh a bit harder at it, so I'm for sure a worse person than he is. But it was absolutely hillarious.
Meu convite para voces esta semana e..... Send me a short email in Portuguese!
A scripture from this week is Elder Baugh's favourite scripture. Omni ch1 v26... the scripture litteraly tells you what you gotta do to be saved, so read and think bout it!
