Elder Parks Layton - Portugal Lisbon Mission

WEEK 97 Hello Seixal October 28, 2019 Hey everyone!  First week of the last transfer down and it was a crazy/weird week. I got my new comp Elder Lehnhof who is from Highland utah. He has the exact same amount of time on the mission as my little brother Blaze! It’s pretty fun for me to think about the face that I have the opportunity/honour to start off someone's mission and that people had prayed for Elder Lehnhof to get a good trainer just like I was praying for my brother to get a good trainer. I'm super motivated to work so hard and just keep grinding until the last day! And that's what I'm going to do! Elder Lenhof is super cool, and super motivated to work so it’s gonna be an unreal transfer.  Our area is called Seixal and it is absolutely unbelievable! We have eaten lunch and dinner with members every single night since we arrived here, which is unheard of, especially since we completely switched the Elders who were here and didn’t know anyone. Week 96 October 21, 2019 Hey everyone! We had the Baptism of Carla on Saturday and I'm heading into my last transfer and changing areas and companions! Presidente Fillmore wanted me to train again and I couldn't be happier!!! I will be going to the area of Seixal and train a new missionary! I will also have the privilege of being a district leader one last time, which I am super excited about! This week was so crazy. One of the craziest of my mish. It started of Monday/Tuesday when we had a division in the Algarve with the Zone Leaders there. I went on a division with one of my great buddies from the MTC, Elder Taylor! So that was an awesome division.  We even did some service cutting down trees and cleaning up a little part of a forest for the big hotel project. But it was great, Elder Taylor is a great example of how to be yourself as a missionary and how to work until the end! It was great. Week 95 October 14, 2019 Busy week, here are the highlights: We did divisions with three companionships who are zone leaders  Ate a bunch of lunches and dinners at members’ homes Had a  great  meeting with President Fillmore Went to the Algarve, which is located at the very bottom of the country  We have four people marked for baptisms. Carla, Edy, Bruno and Reuben,  thanks  for praying for them Had a ward activity and met a bunch of investigators there Did a bunch of errands for President Fillmore Ran over a nail with our car, so we fixed the tire and got a new windshield replacement from a preexisting crack Spent our PDay in the Algarve My last transfer comes up next week. Week 94 October 7, 2019 Highlights - - Week of travelling and helping President Fillmore.  His family is in town, so Elder De Lima and I attended 4 out of the 7 Zone Conferences to assist there.  We travelled to Setubal, Oeiras & Lisboa too. - Elder Anderson gave a shout out to the people of Portugal and spoke of the Lisbon Temple in General Conference.  Elder Anderson was the one who dedicated the Lisbon Temple last month. - Spoke to Blaze in Japan today. - Went to an aquarium with some elders and sisters for PDay.  Elder De Lima, President Fillmore and me
