Elder Parks Layton - Portugal Lisbon Mission

Week 32!  Gotta love Carregado July 30, 2018 Hey everyone! I'm honestly feeling really good about the language, I don't need to think in order to speak and I can basically say any phrase I want, I just need a bigger vocabulary now. But, as well, just fully perfect the grammer. All in all, I'm feelin so great with the language. But as well, it was another eye opening week here. I really have started to realize how blessed of an area Carregado is. The members are awesome and they love the missionaries, the people on the streets are awesome! And we have some solid investigaters right now! Also my comp is dope so that always helps!! Anyways here were my days! 24 de Julho, Elder Terra was super sick!! Week 31 - I’m a temporary Citizen now (: July 23, 2018 Hey everyone! This week there was some crazy experiences but all is great with my new comp! Elder Terra is dope and we get along super good! So he was actually born here in Portugal and is full Portuguese. But he moved to England at age 5, so he is 100 percent fluent in both languages. It has been a super great week! Also a happy birthday shoutout to my Granny and my brother Cruz! Love these two so much, and I really am blessed to have them in my life! 17 de Julho, Went to Santarem and then sent Elder Fajardo on his way! We had a good 6 weeks and I hope the best for him on the rest of his mission here in Portugal! I also saw my boy Elder Patterson. WEEK 30  Bem Vindo Elder Terra July 16, 2018 Hey everyone! It's transfer day tomorrow and it looks like I'm staying here in Carregado and getting Elder Terra! He is from England and Portugal! He is fully fluent in both languages! He's sooo dope! We have talked lots of times before and I was hoping that we would get a chance to serve together!! I'll do my best to talk mostly in Portuguese! But yeah I'm super pumped to serve with him, it's gonna be a dooope transfer. Oh and he already served with my homie Elder Patterson from back home! Although that means tchão for Elder Fajardo. We had a good transfer and the time just flew by! He's a really good missionary and I'm hoping the best for him. This is a really great town I love it so much ahah. Week 29  July 9, 2018  Hey everyone! I feel like I’m at a point where it’s weird to start writing in english hahah! It was a crazy week, in a sense that I was outside of Carregado a lot!! At this point I have also basically seen every part of the main town Carregado!  It is pretty cool here though! I am starting to become friends with all the randoms on the street as well! Especially the young African boys, we have our own handshake hahah.  3 de Julho, So the night before we headed off to another city Coimbra and stayed the night with two other Elders but the morning of July 3rd we went to our first Zone Conference with our new Mission President, Presidente Fillmore! He’s actually so cool! He had some great stories, taught really well, and his Portuguese is amazing! (He served a mission in Brazil.) But yeah, overall it was a great conference! Week 28  Missão Portugal Lisboa July 2, 2018 Hey everyone! Another week out here roaming the streets of Carregado! A crazy week that even included a wedding, and serving in two different missions! It's crazy! My mission call is extinct! I spent the first 6 months out here grindin in the Portugal Porto mission, but now I'm out here in the Portugal Lisbon mission! The missions combined and now I can be shipped off to anywhere in Portugal, including two islands! Kinda sad but super exciting as well! And now we have 240 missionaries instead of 120! I am sorry though, I feel my emails have not been super great lately but we have been struggling with the work here!  So I will try to make them more spiritual!   26 de Junho, We had a district meeting which always means a long day of bussing to and from Santarem!
