WEEK 28 Missão Portugal Lisboa

Week 28 Missão Portugal Lisboa

July 2, 2018

Hey everyone! Another week out here roaming the streets of Carregado! A crazy week that even included a wedding, and serving in two different missions! It's crazy! My mission call is extinct! I spent the first 6 months out here grindin in the Portugal Porto mission, but now I'm out here in the Portugal Lisbon mission! The missions combined and now I can be shipped off to anywhere in Portugal, including two islands! Kinda sad but super exciting as well! And now we have 240 missionaries instead of 120! I am sorry though, I feel my emails have not been super great lately but we have been struggling with the work here!  So I will try to make them more spiritual!

26 de Junho, We had a district meeting which always means a long day of bussing to and from Santarem! When we worked in the night we had one person who was really interested! Everyone else, naww, and luckily the one guy missed us when he spat off his balcony!

27 de Junho, We did some work in the church in the morning, sorting through some old missionary paperwork. Then had some good chicken Elder Fajardo made for lunch! After that we went to a members house and shared a message with them! But my comp was feeling super sick after that so we ended up going home early which I never like!

28 de Junho, We got shut down workin in the morning but went to the neighbouring town Azambuja to work in the night. We worked hard, knocked lots of doors, and a family let us in to teach them!! It was an awesome lesson and they really seemed interested! Then after that we bumped into a bunch of members which was cool! Great day!

29 de Junho..... Happy 14th Birthday to my brother Tag! Honestly one of the best kids out there, I feel it is impossible to be as good of a person as he is. He defines the Christlike traits of humility and kindess. I am so greatful for his example in my life, even though he is younger than me. One of my best friends for life. Love the guy. But was basically a day where nobody wanted anything to do with us! Either contacting or knocking  doors! We did help a member with moving some things from place to place though!

30 de Junho, We started passing out our free English lesson cards! My first class is this upcoming Saturday! It's gonna be crazy weird to teach English sheesh... So it was Douglas and Beatriz's wedding day. They invited us and we had permission to go, so we went! It was pretty cool! Lots of interesting things happened. But the best part in around 10 to 15 little African boys ranging from the age of 7 to 12 asked if the could join... oh they joined in alright. They were having the times of their lives. Eating all the food, playing with the other kids, and even dancing with the Bride Beatriz! It was madness with them running around everywhere! It was cool to see a wedding though. Whack to think that's within the near future for me and my buds! Then in the night we taught two teenagers the first lesson! As well as stopping by an investigater Geralda!

1 de Julho, Church, the lunch at the house of Irma Luisa. She always has us and around 10 other people over for lunch every Sunday! They also gave us a new couch so that was cool. Then we passed a bunch of people who said we could return... but nawww. Not that time, hopefully in the futuro.

Pretty classic week with some cool events! It's awesome I was able to serve in two missions this past week hahah! But yeah I am excited. This weekend I have my first interview with the new President. President Fillmore. I think it will be awesome.

Portugal lost this week in the World Cup... I don't think the streets were too happy about that. There is A LOT of Brazilians here, so people are still happy about that.

Cool story from this week, hmm. Oh well yesterday we had a random stray dog following us around for like an hour! So it was pretty cool I guess.

My challenge this week for everyone is to sacrifice something you love for the God you (hopefully) love more! I have been thinking about that a lot recently. What things are necessary to sacrifice in order to show we love God, and what things can we additionally sacrifice through our own free will to show our love to God! Think about that this week!

Also my new adition (In order to be more spiritual) is scripture of the week!
3 Nephi Ch18 V20
20 And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you.
Rivaling my favourite scripture now... I think this is as good as it gets. Read it, and you will realize what it takes to gain any righteous desire you desire!

I forgot to say it last week but...
