Elder Parks Layton - Portugal Lisbon Mission

WEEK 40 "Great Conference"  September 24, 2018 Hey everyone! We had a super sick week over here in Portugal! So many things went right, and that's when being a missionary is the best! We've been grindin hard and it's startin to show! This week includes seeing a member of the 70, seeing old friends, giving a talk, and marking a baptism for the 6th of October! So here's the week 18 de Set, Had a district counsel so you know what that means by now! We took the trip to Santarem. My public transport skills are basically level 97 by now. But it was a good meeting, love the people in my district. It's really cool because we have us, the Zone Leaders, and the Sister Training Leaders in the district. Week 39 "Got my License" September 17, 2018 Hey everyone! The week was full of good times, like spending a couple days with some MTC friends, and getting a Portuguese Driver's License! Also I saw the Temple grounds and the Temple in Lisbon which is almost finished!! Should be done around Feb! But let's just go into my week from here. 10 de Set, So the day started in Lisbon because we went there on Pday and then I stayed there because I had to do the drivers thing. So the 10th of September basically was just going around to different places getting stuff done! I even had to correct some people that I was from Canada and not the USA (classic). But it was a dope day because I was chillin with my boy Elder Seegmiller, but also my MTC homies Elder Blake, Nichols, and Hunter! Freak man, it was so fun to be chillin with my boys again after a long time without talkin. It's funny because now we talk in Portuguese, but still so fun. And that was basically that day. ...

WEEK 38 "Water in Braga" September 10, 2018 Hey everyone! "Zona C" is still lit. Overall it was a pretty hard week in terms of missionary work. We've been getting wrecked by eveyone! But it's chill, cause I know we're doin our best. A cool thing is that a man "Santos" got baptized up north in Braga! When I was with Elder Baugh, we met him on the street and taught him some of the first lesson! Then I got transferred, but it's amazing to think he's baptized now! Another cool thing is that I'll likely be driving here in Portugal! I have to go to Lisbon later today because all day tomorrow I'll be doing stuff to make sure I can drive here! I thought I wasn't going to drive for 2 years but my mission President and the Lord thought otherwise hahah. Looks like Imma be drivin in Europe! Week 37 "I won bowling by a landslide" September 3, 2018 Hey everyone!! First of all we went bowling today with 2 elders, and 2 sisters and I won in bowling proving that Canada is the best. But anyways the week was unreal, Filipe was baptized and Elder Moreira is a freakin beauty. We only talk Portuguese but it's so fun. I'm helpin him with his English as well. He has sauce, not juice... (Only some of you will get that)  but yeah, this is gonna be a great transfer! It's weird being a District Leader, because now there's even more work I need to do now. But I'm really liking it because I can start to help other missionaries on a more personal level, and service and help is what life is all about!!
