Week 39 "Got my License"

Week 39 "Got my License"

September 17, 2018

Hey everyone! The week was full of good times, like spending a couple days with some MTC friends, and getting a Portuguese Driver's License! Also I saw the Temple grounds and the Temple in Lisbon which is almost finished!! Should be done around Feb! But let's just go into my week from here.

10 de Set, So the day started in Lisbon because we went there on Pday and then I stayed there because I had to do the drivers thing. So the 10th of September basically was just going around to different places getting stuff done! I even had to correct some people that I was from Canada and not the USA (classic). But it was a dope day because I was chillin with my boy Elder Seegmiller, but also my MTC homies Elder Blake, Nichols, and Hunter! Freak man, it was so fun to be chillin with my boys again after a long time without talkin. It's funny because now we talk in Portuguese, but still so fun. And that was basically that day.

11 de Set, Did the final things to get a drivers license and yeah! Said bye to my bro's and then I had to stay with the Elders who work in the office for a bit. They made some good lunch and we had a killer time. Finally I got to Santarem (my companion was there with Elder Seegmiller's companion, Elder Burke) and then Elder Moreira and I finally headed back home! Got home late and nothing really happened after that.

12 de Set, Went over to Filipe's house. He's still as excited as ever and you'll find out why in a bit! Other than that we just had a bunch of people trying to "Bible Bash" us.. kinda annoying cause they just try to roast us and we respond nice.. But in the end we throw in some of our knowledge and leave them thinkin ahah. Always a good time here on the mish.

13 de Set, We planned for our week. Then taught a man and woman from Angola Africa. It was a really good lesson. The only thing is that every 5 minutes they wanted to start singing their hymns hahah. Then we went and passed by Filipe.

14 de Set, I have no idea where I messed up but I don't have anything for this day. Um grande erro que eu fiz... desculpa!

15 de Set, Good day! English lessons went great and in the night we had dinner with one of the families from our English class and even taught them the first lesson! They were very very open and accepting of it. The best past of the day happened a bit earliar though. We were knocking doors and I had a feeling to pass by Irma Iselda. A member in our ward. (Irma means Sister). We knocked her doors and she told us she had some big dr.'s meetings coming up, and how she's been sick. We gave her a blessing of health as well as a blessing of comfort. We both felt goosebumps during the blessing. After that she kept telling us how she knew God sent us. She kept repeating that. And she thanked us with tearful eyes, and let us know how grateful she is for the gospel of our Lord and the miricales he does. It was an amazing experience.

16 de Set, Church in the morn. The reason Filipe was super excited was because he got the Priesthood on Sunday! Crazy to think we met him a little over a month ago and now he's a preisthood holder!  Then Lunch with Tiago then went to work, but didn't have much luck. In the night we had dinner with a member Jefferson! He's a returned missionary, and super cool.

So yeah that was the week, the highlights being getting my license and helping Irma Iselda because of a prompting.

A cool story from this week was... I was in a mall while I was in Lisbon and I saw my homie Eldr Baugh! Loved serving with that guy. Homie for life.

Scripture of the week, Enos Ch1 V12. Pretty interesting promise, and it came through dilligence, prayer, and grindin.
Enos 1:12
12 And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith.

Weekly challenge, Read your sciptures for a minimum of 5 minutes every day this week. Sounds simple but simple things are usually hard. Anyways that's my challenge, hopefully you accept!

The mission is awesome, I've learned so much and learn more every day. My knowledge has grown so much about the gospel of Christ and I've been able to confirm my testimony that this is the true church.

Love you all, enjoy life back home!
