Maio 29th - In the morning we did a lot of computer work. We had to organize some sheets with the members and less actives who live in our area here in Braga. Then nothing else too exciting happened. We talked with some random people but yea, nothing much happened.
May 30th - Started off with us meeting some Elders from another city at the bus station. They came to Braga to go to the hospital, so we just took them there. Then a district meeting (all of the missionaries here in Braga). After that we had an investigater not show up... but it's all chill. Then another night of some great contacting. We were walking on the streets and walked past this young girl who gave a classic lip bite and then a huge wink! Hahah!
May 31st - Woke up and went to a members house to fix up their garden. We picked weeds, fixed up the dirt and just did some solid work. Then they had us for lunch which was soo great! After that a new investigater cancelled on us forever, so that sucks. Then another investigater cancelled on us for that day. A cool thing was during the day I had a feeling to prepare one of the cards we always hand out (usually in Portuguese) but I felt like I should make one in English. I realized that night it was the Spirit communicating with me because we found a guy who only spoke english!
June 1st - We went and got francesinha for lunch with the most legandary member SOL AMOR! Such a legend. After that we walked to the church and taught an investigater Jose. After the lesson, we looked outside and it was pouring rain, and there was some loud thunder and huge bright lightning! In the night though, some members dropped off some homemade treats which was a beautiful thing. They also dropped off a bag full of their chickens eggs which is perf because I love makin myself a good omelete.
June 2 - Awesome day! Started off with a free lemonade giveaway in the center. Basically 6 missionaries walking around inviting people to have free lemonade! After that we went and taught a man from France, Samuel, he's crazy but cool. Then we tried to stop by some people but they weren't there.
June 3rd - Had an early church because there was a special Europe wide broadcast. Pretty dope. Then Lunch with Lages, such a classic at this point. Then we literally walked around the whole city... from one side to the other, then back, then to the next side, then back to the other side where we live! Crazy day!
Braga was such an amazing time and I met so many awesome and great people and friends. I'll miss it, but I will return one day for sure! I'm so grateful for the members of the ward and how they accepted me even when I couldn't speak at all. I was blessed with great people there!
Cool story, was I was walking on the street and did a contact with some karate dude. He pulled a karate move out on me and freakin wrecked my arm, but it got better in around an hour.
My challenge for you this week is to read (my new fav segment in the Bible) Judges chapter 13-16. It's the story of Sampson. A pretty quick read but this dude was a beast. One thing he did was catch 300 foxes, light their tails on fire and let them go to burn a corn field, trust me. These chapters are worth reading.
Keep it real back home, stay out of jail.
