November 19, 2018
Hey everyone! The transfers came in and it looks like I'm staying in Porto with my son Elder Jardine! Gonna be another good transfer! Especially because I'll hit the year mark on Dec 19th, turn 20 on Dec 22, christmas on the 25th which means my 3rd facetime home out of 4, and we end the transfer with new years! I'm excited to get another go in Porto, there's some people here that we should be able to help baptize. Gonna be a good time! Also my friend in Carregado, Amon, was baptised. Love that guy! Here was my week!

Here was my week!
Nov 13th, Last District Counsel of the transfer so we went out and got Domino's Pizza cause that was our ritual. Then we started a division so I went off with Elder Vigne. He's from the Southeren part of Brazil, super cool dude. Tried to get some work done but sadly, no great opportunities came our way!
Nov 14th, We ended the division around lunch time. After that we tried meeting up with some contacts until it got darker. We then had a meeting with our ward mission Leader David. Following that we had english class with some food after! Good day!
Nov 15th, We went around knocking doors and trying to find some new contacts but nothing really worked sadly. Sometimes it's tough cause you know you're trying hard but there's nothing in return... but with time on the mission I've seen that challenges lead to greater things, and growth.
15 de Nov, We had weekly planning in the morning and following that we set out to find some people who used to be taught by the missionaries but we didn't find anyone really, and when we did they weren't super interested.
17 de Nov, We went and met with a less active member named Antonio Leite. We read Mosiah Ch4 with him and he really liked it, you'll see a picture of us together in my pictures below. After that we got a call from our zone leaders saying we had to go teach with them in 30 minutes! We quickly met up with them and this woman, Amelia! It was a good lesson and she accepted a baptismal date of Dec 8th. Here's her story. Last week she was praying to know what church is the true church and that she wants to know her path in life. Right after the prayer, our Zone Leaders (In the city of Gaia) called her on the phone and they met up and talked. It turns out she lives closer to us, so we get the pleasure of teaching her about the restored gospel! So that was a cool experience! After that, we had dinner at Elder and Sister Stewart's house, the senior missionaries in our area. We had burgers, fritos, potato salad, and rootbeer floats! It was a great American night, and one full on English ahah. Great times though.
Nov 18th, Church and lunch at familia Olivera's house!! We got our transfers and I'm staying with my son Elder Jardine!
Cool story... One of my friends that I taught over 10x got baptized in Carregado!!! My man Amon was baptised. So crazy to see people getting baptised that you helped with. Next week another one of my friends from Carregado will be baptized, Diogo! So great. I'll add the pic of amon!
Scripture of the Week, Alma Ch6 V3.
3 And it also came to pass that whosoever did belong to the church that did not repent of their wickedness and humble themselves before God—I mean those who were lifted up in the pride of their hearts—the same were rejected, and their names were blotted out, that their names were not numbered among those of the righteous.
When I read this I thought about how it directly refers to the members of the church. We need to constantly be repenting because the atonement is an eternal thing and we can never be finished with it. It's important to remember that we need to stick to the straight and narrow path, we can only do that through daily repentance.

Challenge, I'm calling you to repentance hahah, but seriously! My challenge is for you to focus your prayers this week on repentance and I can promise you'll see a difference in your life! So I'm calling you to repentance in a loving way.
Good week, and marks another start to these 6 weeks in Porto, "Viva Porto".
Love you all,
